Whatsapp is working on a new feature that will allow s self-destruct messages and Chats after a set period of time, with this feature s can clear sensitive chats or private messages after a period of time and the message will automatically and permanently be cleared on whatsapp’s server
Spotted by WABetaInfo, this new feature is called “Disappearing Messages” as of the moment it is available in WhatsApp Beta version 2.19.275 for Android, though not be available for everyone on the beta programme for now.
The Disappearing Messages feature comes handy when s wants to share information that is sensitive and wouldn’t like to leave it for ever on whatsapp
This Disappearing Messages feature will make all messages exchanged between the parties using the feature to be permanently deleted after some time. WhatsApp won’t allow s to forward the conversation or take screenshot of it.
According WABetaInfo the feature is said to also be available in Group chats, and s will be able to time when the messages will self destruct, as of the moment this feature is on the beta program and will probably roll out with the a WhatsApp update.
